What we do

What do we do?

Our main priority is to provide opportunities and support for older people, aged 60 and above, in Bramley, Swinnow and parts of Stanningley.

How do we do it?

Our services are carried out by paid staff and volunteers, and we have over 1,000 members! BEA is run by a Board of Trustees made up of local people.

What else?

Since 2011, BEA has also delivered a Neighbourhood Network Scheme called Older Wiser Local Seniors (OWLS), which supports older people in the neighbouring Headingley, Hyde Park, Burley and Kirkstall areas of Leeds.

BEA is also custodian - for the wider community - of Bramley Community Centre and Bramley Lawn Social Centre.

Bramley Community Shop is run by our social enterprise, UpBEAt CIC.
