  1. What’s your volunteer role?
    Mainly helping as a passenger assistant on the minibuses at groups, trips and as required
  2. How long have you been a volunteer? Steve Hodgson
    Since March 2012.
  3. Why did you get involved?
    I’m retired now and found BEA would give me the opportunity to work with older people, which I have never done before.
  4. Three words that sum up BEA for you?
    ‘Simply the best’.
  5. What do you get out of volunteering?
    The satisfaction that I have been able to help ‘folk’ less able than myself.
  6. What else do you like doing?
    Walking, football (watching), golf, going on excursions, going to the pub, generally socialising, and meeting new people, and being involved with the local community.
  7. What’s your favourite film?

  8. And your favourite book?
    Room at the Top‘ by John Blaine.
  9. Tell us one interesting fact about yourself
    I do everything right handed, apart from golf and cricket, where I am left handed naturally!
