- What’s your volunteer role?
I currently volunteer as a befriender and I am part of the fundraising group. Very different roles but both equally rewarding.
- How long have you been a volunteer?
I started volunteering for BEA in October 2014
- Why did you get involved?
I wanted to get involved in helping the local community for a while and a change in roles at work meant that I had a bit more time free on an evening. Having lived in Bramley most of my life I had heard a lot of good things about the work that BEA was doing and decided to get involved.
- Three words that sum up BEA for you?
friends, respect and community
- What do you get out of volunteering?
It has definitely given me a different perspective of the local community, I have met some very interesting people and I have had a lot of laughs along the way.
- What else do you like doing?
I love music and film. I spend way too much time looking for new music and I am always looking for gigs or festivals to go to.
- Where were you born?
- What’s your favourite film?
Its hard to choose but possibly Requiem for a Dream
- And your favourite book?
I am appalling at finishing books. I was really enjoying Freakonomics until the dog got hold of it.
