I joined Bramley Elderly Action in June 2008 having previously managed Older Active People for 13 years.

My job involves strategic management, line managing the Leadership Team, fundraising,Lee Ingham development and working with the Board. I also have overall managerial responsibility for  UpBEAt (our social enterprise) and Older Wiser Local Seniors (OWLS, the Neighbourhood Network Scheme for Headingley, Burley, Hyde Park and parts of Kirkstall).

I have worked with older people since 1991 in a range of roles including Home Care Assistant, Day Centre Officer and Social Worker.  I’ve got an MA / Dip SW qualification in Social Work and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management.

Born in Burnley, I have lived in Leeds – including Bramley – for the last 30 years. I have two children and when I’m not at work I like to play (footy, running and cricket), and watch (Burnley) sport. I am also involved in a number of community initiatives.
