I joined Bramley Elderly Action in January 2016. I’m responsible for the finance and administrative support function of the office.
I was born in London but moved to Leeds as a student in 1976 and never went back! I now live in west Leeds and have two grown up children.
My previous work background is pretty varied, starting out as an IT teacher and then working for an environmental charity that looked after the River Aire. More recently I have worked for Leeds City Council in Governance, Children’s Safeguarding and lately in Adult Social Care in the Contracts Section, where I learnt of the vital work that neighbourhood networks like BEA do and the importance of improving things for older people. I am proud to be able to contribute to this area of work in Leeds.
