I started working for Bramley Elderly Action in July 2014 as a freelancer, helping to develop
and run Bramley Lawn. I became Operations Manager in May 2015. I work across the BEA sites in Bramley, and in Headingley with OWLS, to help the team deliver support services and activities. I also oversee Bramley Lawn and the team there.
My background is in marketing and project management – mainly working with arts and cultural organisations, and with social enterprises/charities. In my free time I co-produce a voluntary project called All Hands on Deck with local resident Marie Millward – an annual narrow boat bonanaza which brings people onto the West Leeds canal. I’m a trustee at Bramley Baths, where I also manage day to day marketing and PR and have produced events, including the 110th Birthday Underwater Disco, as a volunteer. I have been living and working as a freelancer based in Bramley since 2005. I moved up to Leeds a few years earlier after studying in Portsmouth. I’m a Brummie originally (don’t hold it against me) but definitely found my feet here in Yorkshire and am really looking forward to investing lots more time in the area I live in and love.
I make very bad balloon animals occasionally, if that counts as a hobby – so if you need someone for a party – it’s probably best to google for a professional instead….!
I’m @frangraham on twitter.
