Catherine Scott

Support Worker, Bramley Lawn

I started working for Bramley Elderly Action in September 2014.

My role is to support and plan activities on the two days I work. Making the Lawns aCatherine Scott fun place to be and hopefully to help the people who attend to be creative, be social and energetic and embrace life.

I’ve lived in Bramley all my life so I know the area well.  My background is mainly office work, but when I got made redundant I looked at a career change in the form of teaching assistant and took myself off to college to do level 2 NVQ in supported learning. Due to a long spell of volunteering at a local school I went into care work as a support worker for Care UK. I found this a very satisfying role and applied to do level 3 NVQ in Adult and Child Social Care which I was awarded this year. I’m not afraid of trying new things or learning new things and I look forward to getting Bramley Lawn off the ground.

Hobbies and interests: love rugby, walking my dog Archie and I’ve just learnt to crochet.

So pop into the Lawns, kettle always on and we’ll be glad to see you.
