Bramley Lawn, the newly opened social centre managed by Bramley Elderly Action, is launching an exciting programme of Lucky Dip Sessions for anyone aged 60 or over to have a go at.
On Wednesday 22 October (from 2.00-3.30) the programme begins with ‘SNAP – digital photography’. The session, led by Lizzie Coombes, will make digital photography easy, including advice on how to print out your photos, or share them online. Cameras will be provided.
Wednesday 5 November will bring a fun and unorthodox exercise class – plate spinning – to Bramley Lawn. Learn to spin plates or try some chair-based or stand-up hula-hooping. Circus teacher Pete White will modify the class to suit you. This session runs from 2.00-4.00.
Finally, on Wednesday 19 November (2.30-4.30), there will be an embroidery workshop -‘Sew what?’ – with thread artist Hayley Mills-Styles, using regular and conductive electrical thread. Bring an old handkerchief or pair of socks to embroider if you can, but materials will be provided.
All the Lucky Dip sessions cost just £1.00 – no booking required. Bramley Lawn is at Rossefield Lawn, Bramley, Leeds, LS13 3RU.
